However, in recent years, local communities have pushed back against the mines, due to the feeling that they are not giving back to the communities as much as was promised.

Today, many farmers in Shakiso have given up gold mining to pursue their passion for coffee. Mormora Guji is a specialty coffee that is renowned for its vibrant citrus flavor and sweet chocolate aftertaste. It is grown at an altitude of 1900-2000 meters above sea level and processed using the washed method, which results in a clean and complex cup.

When you brew Mormora Guji, you will be transported to the lush coffee forests of Ethiopia. The aroma is filled with notes of ripe oranges and lemons, and the flavor is bright and citrusy with a hint of chocolate. The finish is smooth and sweet, with a lingering aftertaste of chocolate and caramel.
